Day 23: Covid Business Boost

DAY 23: Legion Square Market May 7th
To me, the old fashioned, small and family owned grocery stores seem to be a throwback to a simpler time in life.
A time before everything got so big and boxy.

A time when we didn't "need" an entire side of an aisle devoted to toilet paper or 40 types of household cleaning products or rows of potato chips to choose from.
My business boost for today is the beloved little grocery market in Knightville SoPo. It's been around for so long, that it's known by it's old name, Smaha's and it's newer name

Legion Square Market (Smaha's).
I love this little family owned & operated market! They've created an welcoming vibe in the store & you can tell they care about the community.
When the shutdown hit; they responded so quickly by setting up a sanitizing station for everyone entering into the market.
They are well know for their top notch butchers & meats.
They have a solid array of vegetarian products & who knew that Betty Crocker makes a pretty good gluten free brownie mix!
