Day 58: Covid Business Boost: Lana Plantae: Maine Farm to Yarn

DAY 58: Lana Plantae June 11th
Who has been getting their knit on during the covid?
I love the creative process, starting with the tactile & sensory part of it, to the gifting of a handmade piece.

My boost for today is a for a farm to yarn business located in Buxton & they have an online shop.

@LanaPlantae they raise alpaca & rambouillet sheep and they use natural dyes like logwood, Queen Anne's Lace, Cochineal, Indigo and more, to help you create with the beauty of nature.

Next time, you are starting a yarn based projects, check out this farm to yarn business.
Yes, it is a bit more expensive than acrylic or wool yarn from China with chemical dyes.
Here you can visit the farm, know that the animals are well cared for & see the plants used to dye the yarn.
